Congrats on getting tickets! I've been an oasis fan for 25 years and I couldn't tell you how excited I am that they're back together. I got to see them twice in New York and I hope they come back to the states
Thanks for another inspiring video. I need to extend my Oasis collection. " Go Let it out" is one of my absolut favourites as well. I really like "Dig Out Your Soul" - recorded in Abbey Road-great album! And the unplugged show was brilliant. "Liam´s got a sore throte"... yeah, sure.... And big congratulations on getting tickets to see them live!
I met Johnny Depp once and had a quick chat with him about music and he was telling me about the time he was recording with Oasis at Abbey Road and Paul McCartney walked in and that was the first time he met Paul and how star struck he was. I said how much I loved the version of Fade Away he did with Oasis for the War Child album. I was very star struck myself at the time and that’s all I remember saying now!
I’ve seen them twice but have no plans to see them again, I’m enjoying the buzz about them though and has got me listening to their music. I’ve not heard much solo stuff. I met Noel last December, he was so cool and funny but that’s another story…
Great collection. I have a ticket for Heaton Park next year (first night too). Can't wait The Importance of Being Idle I got the same deal and mine was definitely from HMV but whether other places did the same deal I'm not sure. I have most of these but you reminded me of the odd gap I have!
Love Oasis, enjoyed the video. The 30th of Definitely Maybe is so great. Getting all the Monnow Valley versions, it's like a whole new album to get into!!!
I'm a Beatles fan, when my kids born I tried to play them rock music, one loved it the other don't, but when I had to go to USA for work my 12 years old kid asked me What's the Story, and I loved he was in the same road as me but with his chosen group, when years passed I remember buying for him the new Oasis cd's. He loved Beatles with time, but Oasis is "his band" so I really feel very happy they will be again on stage.
Thanks for taking us through the journey of time with Oasis. Your collection is pretty amazing and the knowledge and stories layer this video so well. I was lucky enough to get tickets for Wembley next year. This was through the public sale. Left the UK for New Zealand 20 years ago, so looking forward to a trip home and the gig of course. I must admit, I’ve only seen Oasis once, Earls Court I think 1997. Liam had an argument with a laser pen wielding audience member and threatened to leave the stage. The Verve supported. I was late and I missed the support act. Gutted. Enjoy the concert next year and thanks again👍
My favourite memory is bumping into & meetingLiam at the Electric Ballroom - Camden, watching an Ocean Colour Scene gig. Later, Noel & Liam got on stage with them at the end & they played Day Tripper. Absolute heaven! I remember Chris Evans playing it on his breakfast show the next day, too.
never thought i'd see the day. wee bit too young to have seen them live but they're one of those bands I don't even remember hearing for the first time simply because they were just always around and being played by my parents. managed to get tickets in the presale for edinburgh, just the perfect bit of good news right now and something to look forward to!!
I got my tickets 🎫 on pre sale last night Wembley got the Oasis Masterplan 7x10 fan club vinyl great set. Then discovered the Beatles used to buy one Cd a month from Britannia Music the anticipation and waiting for the postman delivering each cd was really something exciting at the time treasured memories 😊
Hi Andrew:) Great video on a legendary band ! I love how the dvd versions of the singles have the Parental Advisory stickers on them:) Probably due to Liam's swearing his head off:) Anyway, I love the band. To me they are the greatest band of the 90's after Radiohead:) Take care, Andrew, and keep the great stuff coming!
Agree with you about song titles on Definitely Maybe especially. Songs that are anthems and sound excellent before you’ve even heard them. I cannot think of any band that really does this today unfortunately
My favourite oasis memory is being in Buxton and bakewell in 2003 , a chap owned the 2 record shops ( now gone ) and buying multiple copies of - standing on the shoulders of giants , on vinyl for £8.99p each, i still have those records still sealed in as new condition. At this point, vinyl sales were practically non-existent, ive always bought new records and have a few oasis still sealed records, and no the shrink wrap hasn't damaged the sleeves, that's my favourite memory.
I don't have much Oasis but stand outs are Stop The Clocks vinyl set on Big Brother label and The Singles CD compilation that is miss printed with WTSMG track list on the CD face. My CD was featured in Record Collector magazine I think in the November 2018 edition. Super video Andrew. All the best, Col. ps I do have an A3 poster promoting the Heaton Park concerts that I got from a nice record shop worker in Manchester 2 days ago. Looks great framed.
This video has brought the memories flooding back, so thank you Andrew. I recall those freebie cd's from the Sunday papers. I have got quite a lot of them, including ones by Prince, and two John Lennon CD's one of which was covers by various artists. Most of them I probably picked up at the local Oxfam shop here in Derby. I do think that the DVD/CD Single was a very cynical move by the record label to eek out more singles sales, or is that the old cynic coming out in me almost 30 years on? Familiar To Millions has a very special place in my heart, as it was the gig at Wembley that I attended along with my now ex-wife back in 2000. (That is almost 25 years ago, incredible) I'm not going to try and get tickets for next year, but I'm really pleased to see them reuniting, something good and joyful, that whether you love or loathe them is something we all need in these dreadful times we're all living through. I just hope that they can get themselves back into the Studio and come up with a new album.
@@AndrewDixonMusic I think it may have been, but if my memory serves me well it was during Prince's long running dispute with Warner Bro Records and he issued the entire album for free with the Sunday Times. I'd have to dig out the CD to be sure though.
My favourite Oasis memory is getting the chance to see them 7 times. One of the gigs was the second night at Wembley when Liam was pissed. Both hilarious and cringe at the same time. Brilliant..
Hi Andrew,I used to be a postie many years ago and remember loads of information postcards from the Alveston place address, still got a few from the Beautiful south, oasis and the jam.. shame we don’t still get these
Today was a joke, doubling prices when everyone knew the tour would sell out on day 1. Particularly bad given how many wasted the day in queues. It doesn't reflect well on Oasis or Ticketmaster at all. But anyway. The early singles were incredibly good value for money, by comparison. The Some Might Say single featured 4 of their greatest tracks - a mini masterpiece
Hi mate. Congrats with the Oasis tickets. I never was an Oasis fan, but when I was in Liverpool the first time in 2016 for the International Beatleweek, I heard Wonderwall and Don't Look Back In Anger every time between all kind of bands playing at The Cavern having rheir breaks. Of course, I knew these songs, but now they hit me for the first time. When I was home again, I started listening to their albums online And how funny it may sound I bought all their studio albums. Some I liked more and some I liked less. When the Gallagher brothers went solo, I preferred the Liam albums. Bought them all, but no Noel albums Yesterday, I got the 30th anniversary edition of Definitely Maybe. Yes, I like them now and think they are great. Once again, nice to hear you got your tickets, and let's hope the Gallagher brothers will behave to one another. A year in Noel's and Liam's life is an eternity, but I think they finally are mature enough to make a blast next year. Take care and keep spinning music.
What I'd love to see Andrew is your Oasis album spreadsheet for albums and singles including alternate versions just a suggestion? Maybe a world cup? I've just had that gorgeous blood records definitely maybe album with lenticular cover double album. I try explain to people. Love the beatles no 1 band...however oasis are my beatles as I could buy the singles and albums as they came out. I could go and see them live. Got my tickets for heaton park so I'm very happy
I have an original (What's The Story) Morning Glory? on vinyl. It was $5 in a Virgin record store in Australia. I didn’t have a record player at the time but for $5 I had to get it.
Well done with the tickets 👍 i got mine in the presale for Heaton Park. Phew!! I was at Knebworth on the Sunday too back in '96.... It was me who spoke to you at the Piece Hall at the NGHFB gig. I felt a bit daft after cos I couldn't remember the name of your channel. Brain freeze moment!
I have a couple of Oasis bootlegs by a record company called Kiss The Stone. They used to make really high quality CD covers, although the recordings themselves were hit and miss. One of the Oasis bootlegs I have is great though. It has loads of acoustic versions of Oasis songs by Noel. I have that CD that came with the Sunday Times too. If I'm not mistaken you have to play it on your computer and after something like four plays you're blocked from playing it again.
Fortunately I've been able to rip the songs that I don't have elsewhere from that Sunday Timed CD in to my digital library so I'll not get caught out by the 4 plays limit 👍
Thanks for showing us your piles. I love the videos to D'ya Know What I Mean & The Importance Of Being Idle. I cant believe you ended with 'I'm well up for it'. Surely you're mad for it. 😊
Congrats on the tickets! I'll be in Cardiff to see the show on July, 4th. Hopefully, it's not too unsafe for Americans to be there on that date.😅This will be my first visit to the UK and with any luck I'll make the pilgrimage to Liverpool!
My best Oasis memories. I was at Newcastle Riverside when they supported Verve in 1993. There was a power cut and Bonehead entertained us with his spoon playing. I'm pretty certain Liam was wearing a pink shell suit. Then there was Newcastle Riverside again when Noel got punched the following year live on Radio 1 but I missed that because I was at the bar. Then there was Whitley Bay ice rink in 1996 which I can't remember anything at all about apart from doinking some bird in a garden of a house opposite. Loch Lomond on the Saturday which is all very very vague and The Be Here Now tour Newcastle arena in 1997 when I managed to blag my way in for nothing on both nights and got a VIP badge for putting up one of Liam's school pals ( Allegedly) who was outside flogging tickets. Great times but I went off them after all that.😊
Great! The 1994 Noel incident was the first time I remember hearing of Oasis, when it was big news on Radio 1. Was also at the Newcastle gig in September 1997 but sadly don't have the ticket for that any more!
Congrats on getting tickets Andrew. I spent 2 hours in a queue to join the queue. When I got in, 220350 were ahead of me - no chance. Another 2 hours later I gave up.I don't think I could put myself through that again. And Tickmaster raised the prices due to demand - Shocking! I saw them in Heaton Park in 2009. Not a great venue, poor sound and trying to avoid pints of piss raining down on me. Not long after that it went pear shaped. Good to have them back though, enjoy the gig.
Great vid. They peaked with the second album - just a few interesting singles after that. Having said that hope fans get tickets and you enjoy the concerts. ‘Half the World Away’ only matched by ‘Small World’ (Roddy Frame) as the greatest theme songs to the two greatest ‘northern’ tv shows.
From Wiki: Early Doors is a BBC sitcom (2003/2004)written by Craig Cash and Phil Mealey. Both writers appear in the series, playing the characters Joe and Duffy, who are best friends. Early Doors is set at The Grapes, a small public house in Heaton Norris, Stockport, where daily life revolves around comical issues of love, loneliness and blocked urinals. It’s a classic!!!
Going through my collection today Records CDs DVDs tickets amazing what we accumulate great Memories.Looking over the years at my tickets are beautifully designed cheap prices now all we get is a E ticket on the phone. Anyway Computer said no to me today saying with McCartney hopefully try a bit later.
Don’t understand troll after troll spewing hate on this. We love the band and it’s why we stopped. Thanks for sharing Andrew, great memories. Would love to see the boys, but no chance we’ll be able to get tickets.🎧
The first single I bought was Whatever. Then after I realised how great the B-sides were I bought all their CD singles just like you. Did you see three Oasis tracks re-entered the top 20 this week, interestingly the highest place does not have Liam singing!
Be Here Now remastered was highly anticipated as the Mustique demos (disc 3) were pretty much never leaked. I’m sure famous oasis collector Brian Garcia had a copy but was sworn to secrecy.
I really liked Noel's remix of D'You Know What I Mean with the orchestra part raised in the mix. Would have been interesting to hear what he might have done with the rest of the album.
@@AndrewDixonMusic I agree , he might finish it one day. They can’t have much left in the unheard rarities vault to add to these re-releases now surely ?
Took little notice of oasis till I heard whatever on Steve Wright in the afternoon ,didn't realise at the time it was a lift from Neil innes. Was on board after that, got everything saw them live at Newcastle arena where they brought the house down, literally, part of the roof fell on my wife (they gave us vouchers, cheap b..... 3rd best band I saw that year after manics and Radiohead.
Pumped up for the gigs next year, paid 1,548 for my ticket, bargain. Going to try and get 14 pints of lager shandy in me before they come on. If the backing singers are Mike Flowers, Rod Stewart and Kevin DeBruyne will be a night to remember.
I got tickets last night. Got a code for pre sale ballot and within half an hour I got 4 tickets. I'm so glad I didn't have to go through all the stress today that others have. Heaton Park July 12th here we come
As an American I really don’t have any oasis memories except when I first heard definitely maybe back in 94 at the time it really blew me away. I thought it was great rock ‘n’ roll. I ended up buying what’s the story and the third one what’s it called again be here now? that was pretty much it for me not really big fan on any level. But the first album was killer.
It would be so funny if you filled in the cards from the singles and got up to date 2024 information about the band. I guess in the days before the internet it was the only way you could get band related news
@@AndrewDixonMusic They might have brought it back into stock now everyone is listening and excited about Oasis again. I only found £52 used copies online
@@AndrewDixonMusic Good to hear. I have been listening on streaming as I’m unsure why a two disc CD deserves to be priced at £20. Fully behind the concept though and will maybe look to purchase in future
Well done on getting one Andrew. The only people I know who got one got in thru the presale. I don’t know a single person who got one thru the general sale. I tried for 4 hours this morning for an Edinburgh and no joy. Do you think joining the presale ballot early makes any difference? I signed up for it on Tuesday night but that didn’t seem to have any bearing. Enjoy the gigs when they come. Still a while off !
@@Multijoe84 I don't think it made a difference when the presale was joined. Seemrd to be completely random. I thought I had missed out as yesterday at 1:00 p.m. Oasis said all successful people had been informed, but then it was gone 4:00 p.m. by the time I got an email saying I was in the pre sale. The presale process was really good, it would be interesting to see if they could find a way to implement that on the actual sale also, would have avoided a lot of today's problems.
@@AndrewDixonMusicjust watched your video in full Andrew and funnily enough, I never cared much for shakermaker either. Can’t put my finger on why, it isn’t terrible, but just doesn’t do it for me. Also funnily enough, whatever cd single was my first ever oasis purchase! Seen them 3 times, Noel twice and Liam twice, so not too upset about not going. But still would have liked to have gone to this special reunion. Who knows maybe extra nights or tickets come thru on twickets. Being from Scotland I’d even travel down to Heaton park Manchester if it were possible.
@@AndrewDixonMusicsorry PPS one last thing Andrew - you and I must have similar tastes, don’t believe the truth is also my fave post 2000 oasis release. Cheers 🍻
Hi, I haven't bought either of those yet, but I'll certainly be getting Come On You Know. I struggled to muster much enthusiasm for Liam and John Squire.
@@AndrewDixonMusic You are the Oasis expert, I love them and their style but I am still learning, I just went through your list campring on the list on spotify and then I saw the single!
I have no inclination to get McCartney tickets as he's past it and his voice is shot, but I managed to get 2 tickets for each of the 3 Edinburgh shows ( well, my daughter, my wife and I got 2 for each show )
I often imagine what their songs would sound like with Paul, John and George's beautiful vocals. Any fan of John Lennon has to have some good points, but a better lead vocal would have saved the music for me. Sorry Andrew. Not sure you were asking for opinions! 🤐
Ive always had an odd relationship with Oasis, i find them entirely unoriginal and their albums (with the exception of the first two and Dont believe the truth) to be incredibly uneven affairs. Having said all that ive always liked them and respect the fact that they came along at a time when music in the UK was so uninspiring and the charts full of sampled tracks (Ice Ice Baby, Jive Bunny anyone!!). With the early 90s struggling to find its identity musically they made guitar music cool again and gave rock music a platform again. The second Beatles they never were, but an important band for sure. I can't forgive Noel for Little by Little though, its dreadful, sorry Andrew. Glad you got tickets, i saw them at Wembley in 2009 with Kasabian happy memories, doesnt seem like 15 years ago?
‘Who feels love’ is utter shite.. overhyped… thanks for being honest on that 😅..i feel the same about ‘gas panic’.. I KNOW everyone loves it, but, always felt a bit forced to me.
As an American who didn't have the singles, the masterplan is like an album to me and I love it.

@@GreenMeanie76-jp8bp Early Doors?
From Wiki: Early Doors is a BBC sitcom (2003/2004)written by Craig Cash and Phil Mealey. Both writers appear in the series, playing the characters Joe and Duffy, who are best friends. Early Doors is set at The Grapes, a small public house in Heaton Norris, Stockport, where daily life revolves around comical issues of love, loneliness and blocked urinals. It’s a classic!!!
…yes,in case anyone hasn’t seen it!
@@GreenMeanie76-jp8bp I missed out on it first time round, only got to see it last year when the BBC finally repeated it, great show.
👍
Going through my collection today Records CDs DVDs tickets amazing what we accumulate great Memories.Looking over the years at my tickets are beautifully designed cheap prices now all we get is a E ticket on the phone. Anyway Computer said no to me today saying with McCartney hopefully try a bit later.
Saw Tansads. Great Harwood 1993. That’s were it all began
Don't Look Back In Anger presumably?
Songbird does in fact have a DVD release actually
‘Venue Unknown’! Andrew, you’ll have to get Mark Lewisohn on the case!
There is also a compilation called Time flies including all their singles.
The extra Beady eye songs on the Japanese version were class, girls in uniform, off at the next exit etc
I was at some of the same concerts as you. Oasis at Bolton (not their best live period IMO) and U2 at Sheffield.
Do a World Cup of Oasis b-sides!
Gongrats on the Tickets! Great they are getting back together! I wonder if Zak will be playing Drums. And i hope that Bonehead will be part of it.
I think Bonehead is almost a certainty
@@AndrewDixonMusic Bonehead is amazing.
I have to admit, i'm on the hypetrain. Hope they are coming to Germany. I would prefer a prober Comeback.
I can’t believe how many CD singles came out. Us in the States didn’t really do those. Sad we didn’t.
The "Don't Go Away" CD is from Japan (at least mine is).
Heaton Park July 12th here we come
@@LUFC123 Nice one. I thought the pre sale worked well last night.
@@AndrewDixonMusic
It did for us 😂
As an American I really don’t have any oasis memories except when I first heard definitely maybe back in 94 at the time it really blew me away. I thought it was great rock ‘n’ roll. I ended up buying what’s the story and the third one what’s it called again be here now? that was pretty much it for me not really big fan on any level. But the first album was killer.
How can you hate Who Feels Love, when Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is, is on the same album?!
I’m gutted I couldn’t get tickets… Ticketmaster had a complete meltdown. Lets hope there’s an album and a DVD of the tour so I can see it!
@@benwilliams5492 Hopefully more dates announced for you and others!

“It will not be televised”😂
I have it on CD and digital

Nice! Life! Youth! Beautiful! I'm all for it...
Where is the best place to sell oasis merch, memorabilia and vinyl?
It would be so funny if you filled in the cards from the singles and got up to date 2024 information about the band. I guess in the days before the internet it was the only way you could get band related news
Do you know if you can still get the 3cd remastered version of What’s the story morning glory still anywhere?
@@gothiclight8048 Fairly sure I saw it in HMV just yesterday
@@AndrewDixonMusic They might have brought it back into stock now everyone is listening and excited about Oasis again. I only found £52 used copies online
Have you picked up the 30th anniversary of Definitely Maybe on CD/Vinyl?
@@gothiclight8048 Yes, got both, have enjoyed it very much.
@@AndrewDixonMusic Good to hear. I have been listening on streaming as I’m unsure why a two disc CD deserves to be priced at £20. Fully behind the concept though and will maybe look to purchase in future
I'm sure there is a Songbird DVD. I think Johnny Marr plays on the demo version.
@@Kossman58 I shall have to look in to that! 👍
Yes I have it plus got the box to store the dvds in with a poster
PS sorry Andrew, I can’t stand little James !

Hi, did you get Liam’s Come On You Know solo album? I think I prefer it to Noel’s most recent one. Also the Gallagher/Squire album too?
Hi, I haven't bought either of those yet, but I'll certainly be getting Come On You Know. I struggled to muster much enthusiasm for Liam and John Squire.
Did you get the anniversary edition of The Masterplan when it was released as well?
@@gothiclight8048 No, haven't got that one
@@AndrewDixonMusic Well if you only bought the original recently it wouldn’t make sense to buy it again would it
Great video Andrew!! (I only missed Liam's last solo album, what's your opinion on that?)
Thanks 👍 Still need to catch up with that one
Due to you not playing Stop The Clocks much, did you ever pick up Time Flies?
No, I often don't buy releases like that unless they offer me music I don't already have
@@AndrewDixonMusic Agreed. I view them as cash grabs but they did however expose Oasis to a different generation which is a positive
Andy anybody know if Noel is still paying royalties to the Innes family and Gary Glitter?
Don't know, good question! I suppose unless a lump sum deal was made then he must be.
I have an OASIS single you didnt mention Lord dont slow me down
I have that digitally rather than physical. Do you have it on CD or vinyl?
Sons of the Stage - World of Twist Andrew.
That's it! Thanks 👍
I used to turn my cds upside down in single cases so you could see the disc. Anyone else used to do this?
Didn't get McCartney tickets now this. I won't get my hopes up in future!
Haven't you forgotten the single Lord Don't Slow Me Down from Time Flies?
Will have to look and see if that was issued as a CD single, if it was I'll need to get on eBay!
@@AndrewDixonMusic You are the Oasis expert, I love them and their style but I am still learning, I just went through your list campring on the list on spotify and then I saw the single!

I have no inclination to get McCartney tickets as he's past it and his voice is shot, but I managed to get 2 tickets for each of the 3 Edinburgh shows ( well, my daughter, my wife and I got 2 for each show )
Igot £74 tickets. Straight on the ebay for £7120. Heard the threat level of the event is government alert level
I often imagine what their songs would sound like with Paul, John and George's beautiful vocals. Any fan of John Lennon has to have some good points, but a better lead vocal would have saved the music for me.
Sorry Andrew. Not sure you were asking for opinions! 🤐
I just listened to the Verve, Lucky Man. Ashcroft gives a great lead vocal.
@@paulaelizabethg That's by far my favourite Verve song.
I saw Oasis live in Sydney in 1998 and 2002. The sound at the '98 concert was awful.
